Mr Roberto Fabris
Head, Postgraduate Studies (Fashion Design)
Mr. Roberto spent the last four years in Tokyo as a Designer Team Manager with ELLE fashion magazine. With his French-Italian and Vietnamese-Chinese background, Mr. Roberto is drawn to mixing influences through out his designer's life that spans from the mid 80's to now. He was an illustrator at Gloria Vanderbilt, Ralph Lauren & Diane von Furstenberg in New York before becoming an Art Director at Revillon furs, and then at Ungaro Haute Couture in Paris, where he worked closely with Mr. Emanuel Ungaro.
As Mr. Roberto puts it, “Design is more of an attitude, a way of living than "just" a skill, a talent for other people to judge. Some people only stay some years in this both challenging & creative business, but I stayed on a top rank for 3 decades. I would like to share this experience with the students, to widely open not only their skills, but also to update their techniques in Art, in order to challenge their imaginations, to thrive in the international fashion scene.” |
