When was Raffles Merchandising School founded?
Raffles Merchandising School was established in November 2006 as an educational institution dedicated to the professional disciplines of Fashion Marketing and Management, Retail Management and Fashion Communication and Journalism.

What qualification can I get from Raffles Merchandising School?
After three years of intensive vocational training, students will be awarded with a Bachelor of Design (Fashion Marketing), from Raffles KvB, Sydney, Australia.
What are the pre-requisites to study at Raffles Merchandising School?
We welcome fresh school leavers to pursue a degree with Raffles Merchandising School. For local students, we require a minimum of 3 ‘O’ levels, 5 ‘N’ levels or a minimum of year 10 for students from international students. For international students, we also accept Senior High School equivalent (Malaysia – SPM, Indonesia – SMU, Myanmar – Standard 10, China – Senior High School).
When can I start my studies at Raffles Merchandising School?
There are 4 intakes within each academic year – January, April, July and October. Each term is 3 months, which allows students to start their studies throughout the year at a time most suitable to their schedules. These intakes also ensure that our graduates enter the workforce at four separate times throughout the year.
Are there any English requirements?
All courses at Raffles Merchandising School are conducted in English, thus, students must have the ability to communicate in basic English. Students who have met any of following requirements will be exempted from taking English as a Second Language (ESL) concurrently with their main programme.
Minimum requirements for exemption from ESL programmes:
- C6 at GCE O Level Examinations
- TOEFL score of 550* (paper-based) or 213* (Computer-based) or 79-80* (Internet-based)
- IELTS score of 6.0*
To be taken in the last two years.
Students from non-English speaking backgrounds who have not met any of requirements are required to sit for an English test conducted by Raffles Merchandising School on their general English proficiency. If necessary, students are required to take the ESL programme (conducted in-house). Our ESL programme is an intensive course that covers a period of 3 months per level. It can be taken concurrently with their course of study.
How much does it cost to study at Raffles Merchandising School?

Can I use CPF* to pay my course fees?
No. As Raffles Merchandising School is private college, Course Fees are not payable by CPF. Only government schools accept CPF payments. We are pleased to offer attractive discounts for lump sum payment and interest-free installment plan for payment of course fees.
Can international students apply for part-time programmes?
International students have to apply for the Student Pass with the Immigration and Checkpoints Authority (ICA) for studies in Singapore. They are required to study on a full time basis. Part time programmes are only applicable for international students already holding a valid pass in Singapore (Singapore Permanent Resident, Work Permit, Employment Pass, Dependent Pass.)
Does Raffles Merchandising School provide accommodation for international students?
The school does not provide boarding facilites. However, we can assist and recommend the most convenient boarding options at affordable rates to students looking for accommodation.
Does Raffles Merchandising School offer internships with business organizations?
Yes, our programmes include placements of students in relevant companies where they are given the opportunity to gain hands-on experience and enhance their portfolios and resumes.
